The Pennsbury High School prom has become legendary, with past performers including John Mayer and Maroon 5. Edgewood Village is a charming, historic district in Lower Makefield featuring well-preserved 18th and 19th Century architecture and a wealth of shopping and dining options. DeLorenzo’s Tomato Pies uses traditional family recipes for award-winning thin-crust pizza, which was first served in neighboring Trenton in 1947. DeLorenzo’s Edgewood Village location opened in 2018 and quickly became one of Lower Makefield's most popular eateries.
Pennsylvania and New Jersey area’s upscale grocery store chain McCaffrey’s Food Market has its flagship store in Edgewood Village. Here, you’ll find shelves stocked with fresh produce and high-quality groceries along with meat, seafood, bakery, deli, and gourmet cheese counters. Carlucci’s Italian Grill serves delicious authentic Italian dishes based on the traditional cuisine of Naples.

Shady Brook Farm is a popular destination for residents of Lower Makefield at any time of the year. This charming farm features a year-round Farmers Market selling fresh seasonal produce, hand-crafted gourmet cheese, and a range of specialty foodstuffs. The Garden Center at Shady Brook Farm has a wide variety of beautiful seasonal and perennial plants for the home and garden.
The Stone’s Throw pub at Shady Brook Farm has weekly quiz nights and regular live music, plus a summertime cornhole league. Shady Brook Farm also hosts many special seasonal events. The springtime Easter Eggstravaganza has an Easter egg hunt, giant pillow jumping, go-karts, games, a playground, and a sports zone. The Summer unWINEd Concert Series features live performances every Friday evening between May and September, plus a firework display over the Fourth of July weekend.
FallFest offers lots of family-friendly fun with wagon rides, a five-acre corn maze, and more live music. The Annual Holiday Light Show sees Shady Brook Farm illuminated with over three million lights. The festivities include visits from Santa and campfires for cooking s’mores. Visitors can also pick their own berries and peaches during the summer and apples and pumpkins during the fall.
Just south of Lower Makefield, Sesame Place is a children’s amusement and water park with rides and attractions based on characters from the TV show Sesame Street. Yardley Country Club offers its members access to a picturesque 18-hole golf course plus many special events throughout the year.
