Things to Do

Northampton offers some of Bucks County’s best outdoor recreation. Tyler State Park sprawls across a 1,711-acre expanse of woodlands and former agricultural land surrounding the Neshaminy Creek. Several historic stone buildings dotted around the park remain from farms built here in the 1700s. Tyler Park Center for the Arts has transformed a former barn into a cultural attraction featuring artist dwellings, workshops, and studios.

The Langhorne Players stage intimate productions in a 73-seat theater housed within the park’s historic Spring Garden Mill. Tyler State Park also features a 36-hole disc golf course and many trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Churchville Nature Center is part of a 65-acre nature preserve located next to the Churchville Reservoir. Two miles of trails run through the preserve from the nature center, and there are a variety of educational facilities and animal exhibits inside. Many programs are held here throughout the year, including a popular summer camp for children ages 4-13.
