Things to Do
The Delaware River flows alongside Solebury, and the township offers many scenic outdoor recreation spots. One of the most popular activities in the area is floating down the Delaware River on tubes. You can also ride the river in canoes, kayaks, and rafts. An easy one-mile hiking trail ascends to Goat Hill Overview, providing sweeping views over the communities of New Hope and Lambertville on the Pennsylvania and New Jersey sides of the Delaware River.
Bull’s Island Recreation Area is a gorgeous 80-acre island accessible via the Delaware Canal towpath. This is a popular starting point for boating and paddling on the Delaware River. The forested island is also an excellent spot for fishing and birdwatching. The adjacent Towpath Trail follows the path of the canal for almost 60 miles between Easton and Bristol.
Held each August since 1957, the New Hope Auto Show is one of the oldest judged antique and classic car shows in the entire United States. As many as 10,000 automobile enthusiasts visit the show across its two-day duration. There is a wide range of specialist categories covering all kinds of cars, from those produced before 1911 right up to the 21st Century.
