Yardley is a historic village on the banks of the Delaware River in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This charming river town combines a small-town feel with an abundance of restaurants and attractions. The Delaware Canal runs through the heart of Yardley, and many of the community’s restaurants are located alongside it. Yardley also has a SEPTA rail station offering direct trains to Central City in Philadelphia and West Trenton in New Jersey.

The Yardley Inn’s historic restaurant serves an eclectic, modern menu featuring mouthwatering steaks, signature burgers, Faroe Island salmon, and delicious crab cakes. Diners can also enjoy classic cocktails and a range of decadent desserts.

Overlooking the canal, which runs through the heart of Yardley, Canal Street Grille offers a similarly extensive menu of flavorful contemporary fare. Popular choices at the Grille include applewood smoked pork chop, fresh halibut, 21-day house dry-aged beef, and an array of more than 15 burgers and sandwiches. Charcoal BYOB is another great choice for waterfront dining, offering market-driven seasonal dishes from breakfast through dinner.

Vault Brewing Company pairs tasty pub grub with a wide array of microbrews, wines, and cocktails. Yardley Ice House offers a wide variety of scrumptious, ice-cold treats to enjoy after your meal or while strolling through the historic district on a warm afternoon. Things to Do

A scenic stretch of the Delaware Canal runs through Yardley, parallel to the Delaware River. The banks of the canal are brimming with nature, making this a relaxing place to take a leisurely walk. This is part of the Delaware Towpath Trail, which runs alongside the canal for a total of almost 60 miles between Easton and Bristol.

Lake Afton is another picturesque water feature in the center of Yardley. This manmade lake was created to provide power to grist mills along its shore. Trails for biking and jogging, which are accessible from Yardley, extend across over more than 100 miles, connecting the community with many other towns and villages throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Yardley Country Club is one of Pennsylvania’s finest destinations for golfing. Members enjoy access to a stunning golf course that first opened in 1928. Other amenities at Yardley Country Club include the relaxed dinner and drinks spot, Alexander’s Pub, plus a range of banquets, social gatherings, and events throughout the year.
